Martha Clinic

marthaviewMartha Clinic is one of two primary health care centres (PHCCs) located in Yei Town.  It is run by the Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan (ECSS&S), Diocese of Yei.  It is a continuation of the health centre of the diocese which was established in 1989.

It aims to provide affordable healthcare services to the people of Yei.  Its current services include:

  • Outpatient department (OPD) for adults and children
  • Children’s ward
  • Antenatal care
  • Eye clinic (ophthalmic clinical officers equipped with specialised equipment)
  • Malnutrition services (outpatient therapeutic feeding programme)
  • Voluntary counselling and testing for HIV (VCT)
  • Family planning (child spacing)
  • Laboratory
  • Dispensary
  • Childhood immunisation (Expanded Programme of Immunisation – EPI)
  • Community outreach services to hard-to-reach villages
  • Community-based tuberculosis education, case-finding and treatment support project

martha vaccnIn 2015 there were over 25,000 consultations across the many different activities and over 1,800 admissions to the Children's Ward.
